In 1861, Simon Arnold opened a tavern in downtown Cincinnati. In 1853, Christian Moerlein began brewing beer in Over-the-Rhine. In 2013, Moerlein’s brewing operations came home TO OTR, and produced the first Moerlein beer to be brewed in OTR in over 90 years…The Arnold’s 1861 porter.

In its 11th year, MPMF may not be indie rock’s best kept secret anymore, but it has grown into Cincinnati’s definitive live music event. The QCP and Framester teamed up this year to take a portrait of the 3-day fest.

Cincinnati Growing Cincinnati is a short film we produced as a toast to the local entrepreneurial spirit. It made it’s debut at the CEOs for Cities National Meeting on May 17th,the theme of which was “the City as a Startup.”

The Moerlein name has been synonymous with Cincinnati and beer since 1853. Its legacy has grown over the years and with the opening of the Moerlein Lager House in Smale Riverfront Park, it has evolved into something much bigger than just brewing great beer.

Arnold’s has been located at 210 east 8th Street in downtown Cincinnati for 150 years. The bar is open Monday through Saturday, and they began serving up freshly cooked food alongside full menu of spirits during Prohibition.
